What about a non profit that keeps a list of verified non-AI non-seo-abusing websites and then has a search engine that either filters Google api results or maintains its own index. You would have limitations on results from more niche forums/etc but everything you find would be real journalism, real reviews, real people.
my fortune cookie was empty am i gonna die
I'm annoyed at the way people frame linux software installation.
I see pro-linux stuff all the time saying how much better it is to have a package manager because you don't have to go download things from websites which is inconsistent and a pain.
You wanna hear about an inconsistent pain?
If I want to a download software, maybe I type `apt install {software name}` and maybe that works. Or maybe the correct command is `apt install {software name}-bunchofrandomletters'. There is no way to intuitively know the spelling or prefix or suffix or abbreviation. You can search the repos for the name of the software and maybe you get an obvious result, or maybe you get 7 different things that come up with different random suffixes and prefixes and no explanation. This is if you are lucky. If you are unlucky, it does not exist at all and you need to add some random repo you hope isn't gonna screw things up and that you will never use again in order to install your one piece of software. I have had to actually do research on how to install things many times because it is not an AI you can't just type `install {program}` and have it know what you want the way people act like it is. If I have to google anyway I'd rather just click 2 more times and have it installed from there.
On Windows I google "{program} install windows" and the exact link to install from will be on the #1 result 99% of the time. I click 64bit and install and that's it.
I know why it works the way it does and honestly it's fine but the way people act like it is objectively better is annoying to me because it has often been a real crappy process for me to deal with.
I guess I found the limits of what modern AI can code and it is not a particularly difficult task.
I guess I'll type code for hours like some kind of caveman.
Wow thanks for the gift of continuing to provide the service I've been paying for for the past 10 years
I really wish firefox was better. I am reaching my limit.
Am I dumb and
this makes sense, or are they dumb and somehow don't have enough money to hire people who know how email works?
As we try to control the world climate, we should also throw in making fog happen more

When a support ticket person does a really good job I want to say thank you but it probably won't even go to them it'll just waste some random person's time so I don't reply. Do you guys reply? They might sometimes expect it in order to close tickets?
What if Minecraft phantoms were 10x more powerful but only circled you for days before starting to dive down so it both builds suspense and also takes longer to get in the way
What is this marketing image implying lol
This is a dangerous time for Facebook to be showing me all these beautiful $50k houses in Japan...
