But maybe I should also mention there's a lot of complaints about bloat aside from visible features. There's a decent amount of "bloat" that's really just aggressive caching or other optimizations.

@SLEDGE depends on the feature, it may require additional API + supporting features or must be in the main program to even be useful (Accessibility for instance).

Checkboxes for features to install as solution? Only as bloated as you want it to be. There would be issues with dependencies and stuff but that would just have to be part of the options process. Default configurations would keep it simple still.
Plugins kinda work this way but are more janky to install and use.
