You ever get to the point where having multiple git repositories for different parts of your website's codebase becomes a problem and you end up merging all of the repos into one monorepo? And still maintain the git commit history for each of the repos? No? Just me?

Cause I just did it.

@.:A-MAN:. I really want to add a MLG mode to it that can be activated through a roundabout way. Once it’s enabled it’ll add the original Modern Warfare 2 hit marker and sound effect on screen wherever you tap/click.

@.:A-MAN:. If anything, this has given me a new idea to add a slash command to my Discord bot to widen any image. Not just emotes in Discord.

@.:A-MAN:. Look at my current website deployment workflow. Lol It’s peak automation.

Actually… I take that back. This was peak automation for me. Lmao

@Smalls yeah automation is super helpful to have, I can't imagine going back to the times before I automated this site's deployment.

@.:A-MAN:. Yeah… The admin site is gonna have to be rewritten for the most part. Mainly because of it being so outdated and there are some authentication handling changes I need to do. Switching to this structure should, in theory, help keep every piece of my website in sync with each other.

Should also make the CI/CD design I’m doing already easier too. I have tagged releases be my production builds, but it gets rebuilt nightly (Based off the latest tagged release) to apply any underlying minor patches to .NET or any dependency I have set to x.y.*. With that I don’t have to constantly make a new tagged release just to apply those minor patches.

The admin site is so outdated, it still points to my old CDN domain name for the logo.

@.:A-MAN:. It really depends on how interconnected each project is. I think the big thing I need to look into is ensuring that my CI/CD workflows work properly and I don’t introduce any breakage. Potentially how it’s going to work, is that each tagged release will deploy updates to both the website and the API. Right now, both are technically updated separately and that’s left a bit of a drift between the two. Theeeen there’s the admin site. It’s very far behind and hasn’t been updated since early this year.

The main thing I have to ensure works across it all is my standard class library that defines all the underlying data models, which has been the issue I’ve been running into in the multi-repo approach for my website.

Nice. I make all my repos monolithic which is both a blessing and a curse lol.
