Considering writing a script to rapidly probe CVS, Walgreens, and the mass vaccination sites for open slots once I become eligible. The demand is insane in my city and people are saying they can only get appointments at like 3am

@umer936 Somehow missed the first message, but all of the trackers I've seen online don't really hit the right endpoint for CVS. There's one general GET endpoint that supposedly checks all the stores in each town and just gives a boolean for if at least one store in that town has appointments available, but I found it to be super inaccurate. It claims to update every few minutes, but searching by zipcode just gives different results that you can actually schedule with.

Right now the catchall tracking sites all say there are 0 available in my entire state, but if I actually search my zipcode on CVS then there are actually 6 available stores with 10+ appointment slots each. I'm not exactly sure why, but the GET request that CVS makes just doesn't check every store like their POST request does.

@umer936 I don't have a car right now so I'm thinking of getting a zipcar to go to the rest of the state, but public transit can take me pretty far and to all of the city's mass sites and pharmacies.

Also I recommend just driving somewhere a little farther. I drove to a town that's like 25min out of the city and like, sure it's an extra hr of driving, but it was nice to just get it done.

Someone already did that.

I've gotten myself and 4 others vaccine slots through this website.

I already got something pretty hacky working for the local mass vaccination sites and CVS. I probably won't be able to get it to automatically schedule, but it seems to actually pick up more slots than the automated Twitter bots people have been making. I just have a node.js server running that mimics the availability get/post requests, spits out the vaccination center name and link into a log file, and sends out a notification sound. Unfortunately I've been having trouble getting Walgreens to cooperate and it's throwing 403's despite having a pretty open cross-origin policy
