About layoffs and stuff at FB, Google, etc.

One of my coworker's friends is one of the FB layoffs actually.

I do think it's funny tho bc I feel like they've spent the whole time saying how these "new tech" "startups" are not like IBM and the old school ones but they are basically following the same path

@SuperCam yeah if it's a big corp, they should work with their staff to fix issues they have. If it's some small mom & pop store, i can understand poor job security for all sorts of reasons. For example, bad few months customer business made income etc.

I'd consider bad job security as treating employees badly. That's just me.

@SuperCam depends on what aspect. Pay/QoL? Yeah generally. Job stability? Eh....
