dang last year my apartment building partnered with a credit card that lets you pay rent without a credit card fee and I kind of brushed it off because I have money set aside anyway. I just did the math and turns out I'd be getting about $600/year in points solely from rent that can either transfer 1:1 for airline points or be put towards a house down-payment and the dining value is stronger than any of my current cards (~5.4% back). @DracoAureus kinda, there's a service to pay with debit or credit for services that usually don't accept debit or credit. They essentially accept debit or credit then make a payment via ACH, wire transfer, or check for you. It has a ~3% transaction fee so it's not actually good for building typical points and it neutralizes most credit card cashback but it can still rack up minimum spend for credit card sign up bonuses so a lot of credit card churners use it.

I'm also looking into applying for a credit with a high sign up bonus (~$800) but high minimum spend for when I pay off my student loans near the end of the interest freeze. After fees it looks like it would be about $600 for paying off $4k of loans. I might have space to squeeze in another card and sign up bonus too if I really wanna beat the crap out of my credit score
