I know plenty folk here don't like real guns but I just wanna share this lovely picture.
Got back from shooting, I was too busy to go shoot it when I got it. Upgraded it by getting the original cleaning kit + cleaning rod + the spiked bayonet but also gotten a ProMag blue steel 30 rounder instead of the 10rd. Doesn't quite like the soft point ammo (nothing to do with the mag, just how the gun works). Eats FMJ no problem which is shocking given the bad rep ProMag has. Just looks beautiful, nothing beats wood and steel.

"apple sauceey Amendment" = Dickey Amendment
Oh filter lol
I obviously don't have all the answers for how gun control should be handled. However, I definitely believe the "Gun Show Loophole" should be closed and that the apple sauceey Amendment should be repealed. Data is the best thing we have to make informed decisions, and the apple sauceey Amendment prevents that.
I don't think law-abiding citizens would be significantly bothered in the optimal case.
What I don't understand is that people don't motion to get rid of the TSA, which is very ineffective and reduces our privacy and freedoms a lot more IMO. Meanwhile, gun violence can be reduced with effective policies not written by the NRA (which literally profits the more guns that are sold).
If someone sees someone with my color with a weapon I'm gonna get shot. Whether it's in my hand or not.
I'd prefer background checks on all transfers of firearms outside of family but I'm not sure how that'd even work out tbh.
Yeah, I can understand that. When I bought my first gun, I didn't have to take any classes. Nothing required, just a background check and I'm out the store. You would have to take a class if you intend to get a CCL but that is for only certain people (and in Kansas, you don't need a license anyways). I was already experienced enough when I got my gun but that doesn't apply for everyone, and background checks can be easily avoided if you want to buy a gun privately in your residence. To me, adding more laws to firearms wouldn't make any significant difference but screw over law abiding gun owners. And outright banning them is obviously not going to happen and even if we did, we'd just be putting a band-aid over an infected wound without any sterilization. This whole gun debate is basically overshadowing the actual issues, I feel.
But yeah, that sounds really cool! Those upgrades sound cool too!!
I view it like how I like crazy cars, some of which can only be driven on a track.
That said, I just want better background checks and better sorts of registration for classes - much the way you have to get a different license for operating an 18-wheeler than a regular car.
