Bitcoin is kind of an example of "live long enough to see yourself become the villain" lol
Part of it is that it's an anonymized currency separate from big banks.
However, there are a handful of "brokers" people buy them from, including large companies like PayPal.
In essence, those large "coin brokerages" have become "big banks" that are absolutely tracking your currency use.
Heck and as the blockchain size continues to increase, it'll funnel more of the demand to the "coin brokerages"
