This movie was announced only a few months after the release of Man of Steel in 2013. Three years later, it finally arrived to theaters around the world, bringing in stellar reviews. Okay, not really. It has a 29% on Rotten Tomatoes and a B on CinemaScore (not as good as it looks). Do I think this movie deserves the hate it's getting? Absolutely not. Batman v Superman is at least an okay film. It's not the best, like the Dark Knight, but it's certainly no Daredevil or Catwoman. The cinematography is amazing and Zack Snyder's directorial style really shines beautifully in and out of the action scenes. Hans Zimmer and Junkie XL's score is one of the highlights as well, along with the amazing performances by Affleck (easily the best Batman we've had so far), Cavill, Gadot, and several others. Now to the bad things. The story/plot is quite incoherent at times, and the transitions are terrible (probably because there are none most of the time). Eisenberg's performance is tough to review. I believe he was an excellent villain for this film, bringing a philosophical standpoint to the stage. But was he a good Lex Luthor? No. Perhaps if he had been anyone else, it'd be great. Despite the low points for this movie, I can say that it definitely has me excited to see the rest of the DC cinematic universe and explore the many other characters they're planning on bringing in.
[Spoilers from here on!]
Some people also tend to complain about the 'Martha' scene and Batman not being as 'nice' as he usually is. I for one have no problem with a killing Batman, as this version of the character probably would. We have a brand new kind of Batman here, an old, dreary, angry Batman that we've never seen before. As for the Martha scene, I believe it also makes sense, but I can definitely understand why some people find it stupid. Overall, this movie isn't really the crapshow critics are making it out to be. I recommend it to anyone who liked Man of Steel, loves DC comics but is also willing to accept new incarnations of some of it's characters, or anyone interested in a fun and beautifully shot superhero action movie. (3.5 out of 5)

I had zero expectations going in, I didn't like the first one at all. Yet, it still managed to be worse than I thought it would be. Everything about it was poorly done IMO, I've seen good action in plenty of movies that didn't drop the ball on everything else.
If you are a proud DC fanboy who always wanted to see them fight, then I guess you should see it(but be prepared, it's lazy "here's kryptonite" writing, not something clever that a good movie would have).
If you are like me and don't really care about DC, it's sort of a waste of time.
